Rhian Solomon has recently started an artists residency at Morriston Hospital, Swansea, where she will be based in the reconstructive plastic surgery department for 18months. The project has been funded by The Arts Council, Wales and will explore how the role of how artists and anthropologists can inform the consultation processes within clinic. Rhian will be working closely alongside Sarah Wright, clinical anthropologist, Prue Thimbleby, Artist and Project Manager and the breast reconstruction patients and staff of the hospital. University of Wales, Trinity St David, is supporting the project in offering Rhian access to their specialist facilities and digital technologies to realise works for the project.
